Through fluid, pastel-toned compositions and textile artist books, alec lives gives a physical form to the feelings and images she sees in her dreams. The works emerge from an ongoing search for inner peace and self understanding, weaving intimate narratives of their own that present themselfes to her while unconscious; building surreal worlds where beings, creatures, and nature coexist, forming a symbolic language that evolves with each piece. Ultimately, alec's purpose is to create images that act as portals into emotional states, dreams and stories we carry within.
